ABILITIES:
The Red Hood is at the peak of his physical abilities, taking a great deal of time in making his body into one that can withstand the dangers of Gotham and pull him through any situation. He’s strong and fast and a quick thinker, ready to get out of any situation, whether it be with his body or his mind. As long as he gets out alive and with his identity hidden. He fights brutally, with a style involving boxing and kickboxing primarily, but he’s a rather skilled grappler.
As a man who utilizes guns, he’s a very skilled marksman. He uses various forms of firearms, from combat pistols to shotguns, rifles, machine guns, and even the occasional tranquilizer gun and stun gun. He also uses metal batons, bayonets, flashbangs, grenades and knives. On his person he usually carries at least one if not two pistols, a single heavier weapon (shotgun, rifle, etc.), maybe one or two grenades or flashbangs, and always one or two batons for close range combat, if he must. He knows how to use all of his weapons very effectively, becoming a deadly force.
He’s a skilled mind, if only out of necessity, deciding to prove his intellect is great enough to become the “new” Batman of Gotham. He may not be as mentally strong or intelligent as the Batman or some of the villains of Gotham, but he’s rather intelligent and skillful in mind.
He wears a suit based on the Batman’s, but it isn’t as well built or resilient, due to a lack of funds, compared to the Batman. He wears a black suit that can take some punishment from bullets and knives and blunt strikes, but not a lot. It’s light enough to be able to protect from a little, but also let him move quickly and be agile, while also being relatively cheap, compared to the Batman’s suit, and something the Red Hood can actually afford to have made.
His suit is fully black, with the chest being akin to the segmented pieces of the central suit seen here, along with knee and elbow pads, boots that rise up over the pants, and have gripping abilities in the toes. He has some extra armor/padding in his shoulders. His gloves come up to a bit before his elbows, with metal in the knuckle so he can use that as a weapon as well. He wears a mask or a hood, as his name would imply, which can be seen here.
STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES:
The Red Hood’s greatest strength – at least to himself – is that he has no qualms about killing. Men have trouble with being able to actually take another’s life, in his experiences, but he has none of that. He will kill without much of a thought, and never feel anything when doing it. That’s not to say he goes out and kills random people; he feels for those who die as a result of Gotham’s growing corruption and the evils within the city itself, but not for the criminals, whom he believes deserve to die and nothing more.
As a fighter, the Red Hood is skilled in boxing and kickboxing, alternating between whatever he has to in order to win a close quarters encounter. He’s a decent grappler, but prefers to beat his foe rather than have a prolonged encounter. He has metal in his gloves just for the sake of speeding up a fight. He’ll often pull a knife in a close battle just to end it.
His skill with firearms is high, something he constantly practices. He tries to be the greatest marksman in Gotham, if not the world. That’s his goal. He’s not the best I the world by any means, but he believes himself to be one of the best in Gotham. It’s his weapon of choice, fueled by anger and justice. He’s less effective with the grenades, but that’s to be expected due to the nature of the weapon.
He has a strong mind and will, but by no means is he up to the level of the Batman or others. He has a strong mind and a strong will, with a drive to do what others wouldn’t.
For weaknesses, the Red Hood isn’t financially well off. He makes money, but his money goes into ammunition and weapons, with some of it being funneled off for living expenses, while he’s spent a lot on his armor. His armor, however, is lacking. He’s not bullet or knife-proof, but is slightly resistant to attacks. It’s not a lot of defense, but it’s something.
He’s driven by a need for justice and vengeance, but his views are somewhat twisted and corrupt. He gives and shows no mercy to criminals, killing them instead of showing them any chance at redemption or allowing them to go to prison. He wants to wipe the scum out of Gotham in a way that the Batman refused to do. Due to this he’s driven by that single goal, not having anything else, really. Just this burning desire to kill criminals and vengeance.
In terms of equipment, he only has weapons, nothing for support. He can be cornered, like anyone can, because he doesn’t have means of escape, unlike the Batman. He can only fight his way through situations, not escape. This means he can die easier. He also is lacking in some skill with grenades, but that’s to be expected due to the nature of the weapon, compared to his firearms.
