She hears voices but has a hard time to understanding them before she fades out again. She has been out of it for weeks now and many thought her to be dead for the longest time but quicker then normal she is healing from the injuries she sustained. The trauma that was so severe that many believed that she would not survive but the dark haired woman in the make shift bed is indeed healing. Her caretakers do not know her full name just her first name Diana. Victim of the violence. What exactly happened to her is equally unknown for now.
In her dreams the visions of places far away prepare her for what she will face along the way but the most haunting are the visions of the immediate future and the pain and suffering that surrounds her in Rwanda. Men, women and children in pain and suffering because of the lack of food, fresh water and the violence of the tribe wars. She knows she has to heal herself but the damage done to her was great and it would take time.
The woman that was assigned the task to take care of this strong warrior woman was trying her best but she knew and saw for herself that the warrior known to the tribe as Diana was healing herself slowly but surely. She hears the soft moans coming from Diana and holds her hand and tries to cool her down brushing a damp cool cloth over her face doing what she can to keep her comfortable. She remembers all to well when Diana was brought to her and the respect the tribe elders showed this female and the honor she was given to take care of this strong tall woman. She is much taller then most of the women and men in Rwanda. Obviously strong but also white it surprised her when the elders showed this white woman so much respect as they are not accepting of them in general but this Diana was different. A long talk with one of the elders as he came to check up on Diana a week past explained a lot. This woman was found wearing leather arm-guards with these bracelets that can not be removed from her arms even now. ancient looking weapons with tribal markings on it of a tribe unknown to them show that this woman is a warrior and deserving of their help and their respect.
Diana moans again and the woman is brought out of the thoughts and to her surprise sees the eyelids of Diana moving like she is trying to wake up. With a shout of joy she bustles out of her hut and makes her way to the elders sitting around a fire and excitedly starts to explain that Diana is starting to show signs that she will wake up soon. The excitement is rapidly building and the elders join her in seeing Diana again.
The voices again strange sounds she tries to speak but only a soft moan escapes her. She again tries to open her eyes and one of the voices comes closer and begins to speak something that sounds like a chant. A gasp from Diana as she feels the flow of the tribal magic helping her back into a healing sleep it is not yet time for her to wake up she is to weak and not able to heal herself or be of help to others. The chant fades from her hearing as she once again falls into a deep deep sleep.
