SUPER!

[Oliver Queen]

The mighty LexCorp plaza. The tallest building in all of the Metropolis skyline. The gardens out front just make the entire city block better looking, and the activities that just happened, were purely amazing. In unfamiliar territory, definitely not wanted in this part of town, stands Oliver Queen. The history between Queen and Luthor isn't good, so if Lex knew that Queen was this close to his office, he would be in the war room coming up with an idea of why Queen is here and a strategy to cou8nter whatever he's going to do. But he doesn't know...yet. But what Queen knows, and the man standing to his right known as Arthur Curry knows, is that some mild mannered reporter just broke, no, shattered the laws of physics. How? Who knows, in fact they don't even want to know, it seems like one of those things that just isn't right to pry, especially since he did whatever he did to save a life, and not harm one. In thier book? You owe no explanation for heroics...But not everyone feels this way...

Kid: "OH MAN! I GOT THE WHOLE THING RECORDED!!"

A kid, about sixteen years old by the looks of him, maybe a year or two younger, just got the scoop of a lifetime if you're a journalist. Or got the scoop of a lifetime on a journalist, the kid though, it's safe to assume he has no idea what he saw or who he saw doing it. It's a cell phone video, and not a smart phone either. Luckily for them though, the weather was going downhill fast and nobody else is in the area, just this one damn kid.

Oliver Queen: "AC...We gotta do something."

Just then an idea hit AC like a flash of lightning, or better yet, a rain drop, followed by a downpour. The forecast called for spotted showers this afternoon, and in Arthur Curry's world, this was "super".

Arthur Curry: "Consider this handled."

The sky is quickly covered by clouds darkening the entire area, and AC uses this. He steps forward allowing the water to drench him. It continues coming down and AC feeling his power strengthen leans back sticking his chest out raising his arms out to the side with his palms up, suddenly he starts swirling his hands around catching rain droplets like snowflakes to a snowball he forms two balls of water and fires them off like rockets, one low and one high. The low one splatters before impact, into the kids legs sweeping him off his feet, the other one stays together like a solid rock and obliterates the cell phone.

Kid: "OW! NO MY PHONE!"

Clark and Oliver both make their way over to the kid, Clark, whether he saw what happened or not wasn't known but he immediately checks on the kids well being, Oliver however sees an oportunity to pick up an SD memory card that was busted out of the broken phone. No chance of this getting out in the open. Luckily for Clark his little stunt with the van happened on the next street over, and safe from any LexCorp security cameras.

Kid: "I saw what you did!"

Clark Kent: "What do you mean?"

Kid: "You were in that van when it flipped! There's not even a scratch on you!"

Oliver Queen: "Kid that's insane, I clearly saw him catch that kid falling out of that open door, those guys were maniacs, asnd look he's a little scratched up."

Oliver always quick thinking had an arrow tip in his hand and he uses it to scratch Clark, tearing a whole in his shirt and poking his arm causing him to bleed and jerk back in sudden pain. Clark takes a few steps back, looking in way more pain than he should be for just a small cut.

Clark Kent: "Sorry...Just a bit tender I guess."

Kid: "I guess that's what I get for watching through my phones camera instead of with my eyes, huh?"

The kid shrugs, probably feeling a little silly and hurries out of there, probably in trouble for breaking his cell phone too I'm sure he didn't buy it himself.

Clark Kent: "Man, what in the world did you cut me with that hurt!"

Clark in his own mind is really wondering how it hurt him, but Ollie doesn't know that, he just sees a guy bleeding who minutes ago withstood the crushing weight of a vehicle without so much as a bruise to show for it. This is definitely confusing right now.

Oliver Queen: "Some sort of rock I found, not really sure. I was just trying to keep what you just did off of YouTube."

Clark Kent: "A rock huh?"

Arthur Curry: "Yeah, a rock, now why don't you tell us what the hell just happened!?"

Oliver Queen: "Look farm boy, I'm sure whatever small hick ville town you're from you don't have to worry about this stuff, but out here, stunts like that could severely jeapardize things for other people. You see that window up there?"

Queen points at the top of Lex's office.

Oliver Queen: "If that guy up there even so much as thinks you're up to something not normal, he'll be on you, man."

Clark Kent: "Don't worry he's been in a closed door meeting with Oswald Cobblepot."

Arthur Curry: "How the hell do you know that!?"

Oliver Queen: "Wait a sec, AC. You're telling me that a Gotham thug is here in Metropolis meeting with one of the richest men in the world, those two together? Something dastardly is happening."

Arthur Curry and Clark Kent: "Dastardly?"

Oliver Queen: "Best thing I could come up with at the time, look it's shady alright?"

Clark Kent: "I'm actually here with the Daily Planet looking into Cobblepot's meetings with Mary Bromfield and now Lex Luthor. Something is definitely going on and if I don't get the story Mr. White and...Lois, oh no Lois is going to kill me! I promised her I would come through this time!"

Oliver Queen: "Tell you what. I'll let you get the first interview with the returning Oliver Queen and then you can tell us what you know about Cobblepot being in Metropolis. Sound like a deal?"

[Clark Kent]

Clark nods his head, “Deal Mr. Queen!”

Smiling, he knew that this could be his big break that he had been looking for; yeah – it most certainly was not what Mr. White had wanted but a huge scoop was a huge scoop. Not having his notepad or anything on him, he looked at Mr. Queen and spoke out to him.

Clark, “I currently don’t have my things on me, would that interview still be good here in just a few? I’ll still be glad to share my knowledge on the Cobblepot situation.”

Queen, “Sure kid!”

Clark, “Well, the information that I have thus far is that Cobblepot is looking to get an endorsement from Miss. Bromfield and rumors are from Lex as well. My thing is this, why is he here? Why is he looking to get his endorsements here in Metropolis when he could easily look Mr. Wayne’s way in Gotham? It doesn’t make sense, just doesn’t add up but if my sources are correct then Cobblepot is in there right now talking things over with Lex…”

Looking up at the huge building that is the Lex Corp building; Clark is distracted; definitely with things on his mind or a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. Quickly snapping out of his catatonic like state of mind – he notices that Arthur has something to say and so he listens on respectfully.

[Arthur Curry - Orin]

To think Arthur Curry was alone in the world as far as the type of powers and abilities he had was wrong. Arthur knew there was more like him out there and it was only a matter of time before they came out and accepted it, the reporter did. There was no way an ordinary man could do what he just did, it wasn't feasible.

Curry knew there was more like him in the world and Clark Kent's actions proved it, there as no way to shy away from that fact.. Oliver knew it as well, it was how they'd deal with the entire situation was a different story though..




Kent had finished his statement as Arthur and Oliver exchanged looks, things didn't add up correctly. Scratching above his left ear Arthur raised a brow as he crossed his arms before him.

"So.. We've got a corrupt politician meeting with Daddy Warbucks up in LexCorp's HQ? You're right Clark.. If he wanted a bid so badly, why didn't he to to Wayne in Gotham? The thing about Cobblepot too.. I can't prove it but a lot of the time when I bust shipments coming across the way, they say it's for 'Penguin,' it's 'Penguin's' stuff.. The only other person I know that's got an alias like that is.."

That caught Ollie's attention as Clark fumbled for his notepad and pen in his pocket. Arthur looked at Clark and he didn't see some dweeb with glasses on, he saw past that. Whether or not it was ability to see beyond regularity, he knew that Clark was either intentionally or unintentionally hiding or holding back something that'd make him different, judging what went down with him making the save.. something that'd make him.. super.

"I say we head to Gotham, we see what we can find there. We've already got a lead knowing Cobblepot and Luthor are talking business.. Cobblepot is definitely dirty, but Lex? There's nothing on that guy except for major donations to the city which makes him look like a god damned boy-scout "

Many had the misconception of Arthur that because he played the role of hero often that he was a nice guy, a man with the heart of gold and that wasn't necessarily true. He had an edge, he had a mouth of a sailor and he would speak freely in whatever sense he felt was needed. He often was quoted as telling kids to NOT look up to him as a role-model, he's not a role-model. His life was difficult, he was torn between two different, very challenging directions and he often took stupid chances for the better of others, that wasn't the greatest way to live life, especially for impressionable kids.

"Yeah AC, I think Gotham is our next destination.. We can check in on Wayne too, we're not the best of friends but we've got a pretty good history- getting together for the sake of society can never go wrong.. He's a good guy- we've got a lot in common."

With a nod, Curry pulled the hood over his head to conceal his face as he was known in public and wanted to keep his profile on the low. Looking in Ollie's direction, Arthur smirked.

"You know that advice I gave you on making sure to protect your face in public?"

"Yeah? What about it?"

Despite being in an alley, the alleys in Metropolis wasn't dark and DIDN'T hide much like in other places. A small media buzz was beginning to form right near where Ollie, AC and Clark was as AC nodded once more.

"Unless you wanna blow Kent's big story, I suggest you pull the hood up and we disappear outta sight.. I mean, that's unless of course you DON'T want the attention from half the damn city."

Understanding that was the best bet, Ollie did as AC had suggested, he yanked a green hood over his head and reached into the pouch in front of his hoodie. Pulling out a business card, one that seen it's corners a bit bent and scratched up, he handed it off to Clark as Curry watched on.

"I know I said we'd do an interview and I'm a man of my word.. But unless you want someone to poach your story, I think me and AC needs to disappear- quick. On there is my personal cell number.. Call me and we can set something up- all expenses on me bro. I'll fly you in first class and pay for your housing.. We might need your investigative skills later on.. That cool?"

The crowd's buzz grew louder as Clark nodded- that gave AC and Ollie the confirmation to turn and sprint through an opening in the alley that headed to another part of town. Clark stuck the business card into his pocket as he moved towards the crowd- that was as AC looked over his shoulder before making a sharp right turn and sighed in relief.

"There's something about that guy I can't put my finger on.. But he ain't normal, man. He's got something beyond those dorky-ass glasses..."

"I got that impression too. Why you think I offered him the interview? When we get to Gotham, I'll fly him out there and figure out what the hell is up exactly, but until then.. We'd better move to see what we can figure out."

As they dodged through random citizens on the sidewalks, they had a slight idea where they were going- but what they didn't know was that on a building not too far from where the meeting of minds between AC, Ollie and Clark went down, a man with a pair of binoculars stood. He kept his eyes on AC and Ollie as they eventually disappeared in the crowd of people as he lowered it and reached towards his hip, unclipping a cell phone that was decked out in Army styled, camo skin.

"Targets are heading off, don't know where- don't know who they're after but they had a lengthy conversation with a Daily Planet reporter- I plan on digging into his background. For some reason the microphone didn't pick up anything, too much static broke it up.. Things are getting interesting."
