Lately things had been rather hectic for Clark, dealing with trying to get the big scoop – saving a child, you name it and he has been at the center of it all as of late. Everybody needs their solitude however and upon leaving Metropolis for the night; Clark headed home, to the farm that he grew up on in Smallville. Pulling into the drive way, an older woman stepped out onto the porch smiling as Clark stepped out of his car and walked up to the older woman, he hugs her gently and kisses her on the cheek.
Clark, “Hi mom!”
Mrs. Kent, “Hi there son, how are you?”
Clark smiling, “I’m good! Just needed to get away from the big city for a bit…”
Mrs. Kent nods smiling, “I understand! Good to have you home baby – you hungry?”
Clark, “Starved!”
Entering his childhood home; he enters the kitchen to where his father sits at the table eating some fresh homemade apple pie that was just finished.
Mr. Kent, “Clark, how are you doing son?”
Hugging his father, he replies.
Clark, “Doing good pops! Just needed to get away from the big city…”
Sitting at the table, his mother brought him some apple pie – before eating it however, he noticed that on the news that Gotham had a huge explosion. Clark narrowed his eyes, most certainly interested as to why all of this was happening but then again; Gotham was known for its dark eeriness; its crazy things. Clark had a feeling that he wouldn’t be able to hide his powers forever; besides the fact that he has eyes on him – the world was going to hell and needed a hero.
