Batman.. Superman.. Green Arrow.
Those three names, amongst others are synonymous with heroes, men who risk their lives to protect humanity. While they're off doing great deeds- you've got names like The Joker, Lex Luthor and Count Vertigo are the same men wrecking havoc in our peaceful world.
"Justice Isn't Free" is true, it's not. In order to be free, a price must be paid- sometimes the sacrifice of life is made- whilst others is huge payments to the government in order to restore a few blocks of a city after an epic battle.
This is an adventure into the world of "Detective Comics," or the "DC Universe.." with a twist. Christopher Nolan, famed director of 'Inception,' 'Memento,' and arguably the greatest superhero trilogy ever made 'Batman Begins/The Dark Knight,' single handedly changed how we view heroes/villains.
Christopher Nolan 'Nolanized' the likes of Bane, stripping away his infamous 'venom' steroid, but leaving Bane as intimidating as ever. What we're doing here is carrying out the 'Nolanverse,' but DC Wide. We're not stopping at Batman and Superman- we eventually want to assemble our own Justice League- as well as Super Secret Society of Villains.
.. But, with a *twist.*
Yes, DC has iconic characters- but at the same time Christopher Nolan changed that. As mentioned, he 'Nolanized' them, he made them human. That's our task at 'Justice Isn't Free,' it's to carry out Nolan's work- to 'Nolanize' the rest of the DC Universe and have it fit HIS vision of how things should look.
You're not following? No problem.. I'll clear it up.
'Nolanizing,' is a term I coined for his work with comic book characters. He made changes necessary to have the characters be presented in movies as realistic as possible. Do you believe that a man can walk around with his face half burnt? No, but Nolan did an excellent job bringing Two-Face alive. Do I think a man can have a mask shooting him pain-killing gas all day? No, but Nolan did it- he took away the venom and replaced it with something much more believable.
Because he's finished with the Batman character in movies- it's up to us- the fans, to continue his way of thinking- and to do that we need to tap into our 'nerd side' and cast characters that wasn't given a chance. The Penguin? Black Mask? Deadshot? Hell- that's only Batman! Other characters like The Flash or Green Lantern, even Wonder Woman.. These are the characters we're trying to 'Nolanize' and have casted and written for.
At the end of the day, it's not an easy task but it CAN be done. One just needs to love comic book characters enough to know how to make changes here and there in order to have them fit the Nolanverse.
But hey.. If you're interested but not sure how- PM us or leave a OOC and we'll help you figure it out!
