ABILITIES:
Doctor Thomas Elliot graduated from Harvard University at the top of his class- three years ahead of schedule. Named the best doctor of his generation- Elliot has performed multiple breakthrough operations, some so controversial that he has given the crippled, legs.. the voiceless, a voice.. and even the dead, life. Due to the life he's lead, a traveler, Elliot has been able to train in multiple forms of hand to hand combat, something he sees as a hobby and also is a very gifted shooter with firearms. He has a [prized] and extensive collection of guns, both classical and custom that he trains himself with in his sparetime to become sharper.
Another of Elliot' s talents is the ability to think like a patient/opponent. Earning a chess championship as a child and a few 'Risk' board-game titles, Elliot's practice of an operatonal surgeon and a plastic surgeon also allows him to think like patients, giving him successful results when dealing with those that want plastic surgeon. There's been times that Elliot has also been able to conduct plastic surgeon on himself to fix scars/marks along the way.
STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES:
Elliot is psychologically shattered after an abusive childhood. If anything, he's the anti-Bruce Wayne where he WISHED his parents would go away- unlike Bruce who wanted them. Due to being battered by his father and neglected by his drunk of a mother, Elliot has deep-seeded trust issues, ones not even the best psychologists can diagnose and mend.
Also, Elliot struggles with envy/borderline hate of Bruce Wayne. Despite being best of friends as children, Bruce lived the life Tommy wanted- thus, bringing forth the sense of hatred and envy that is intense and scary. This weakness is apparent when sharing a room/venue with Bruce, the proud- smug attitude Elliot puts on is sometimes transparent and comes across faked to match Wayne's lax persona. But at the same time, the constant need to be better than Bruce is something that keeps Elliot motivated into being stronger- faster, smarter and richer.
BACKGROUND:
As children, Tommy Elliot and Bruce Wayne were unseperable. Both the proud children of Gotham's most successful familes- that's where it stopped. While Bruce Wayne was loved and honored.. Tommy Elliot was used as a pawn, beaten and abused in different forms by his parents. In public, Elliot's mother and father were proud people, loving parents but at home? His father was an abusive drunk and his mother was a weak drunk- one that never stood up for neither Tommy nor herself- which damaged the child's mind.
A car accident took the life of Tommy's father but left his mother in a comatose state- that was until Bruce's father- Thomas Wayne managed to undertake an experimental- high risk operation to relieve pressure from Tommy's mother's brain as it pressed against her skull; which was successful. Angered that he was now an half-orphan- Tommy snapped, blaming the Wayne's for all the problems he faced. That put an extreme strain on Tommy and Bruce's relationship, until things boiled over at a summer-camp prior to Bruce's parents deaths. Elliot savagely beat a child and blamed it on Bruce and his father- prompting him to be locked in a juvenile psych ward for observation.
From there- Bruce's parents died, Gotham mourned the lost, Tommy basked in it- but Bruce went on to live an enjoyable life with his guardian/butler; Alfred or as Tommy called him, "Alf." This angered Elliot, as he was stuck living out of the Elliot Estate, taking care of his mother who had lost the use of her legs from brain damage taken at the sight of the accident. Convinced it was a conspriacy on the Wayne's part to keep Elliot below them- hate and envy brewed- it brewed for a long time until Tommy's mother died of a rare form of lung cancer- but then Tommy's Aunt Matilda; his mother's sister who was an evil- spiteful woman stepped in to 'care' for her nephew- interested solely in the money.
Aunt Matilda too died of the rare form of lung cancer- one that Elliot has 'tasked' himself with to cure- naming it 'Elliotuekima,' a very devastating form of cancer that rapidly eats away at lung tissue and eventually, other main organs.
Much like Bruce's life, after his Aunt Matilda died- Tommy was 14 and needed a guardian, so his butler; George Dimesworth stepped in and filled that role; allowing him to inherit the vast Elliot Estate- which he used to travel and eventually become a doctor with. This allowed him to see the world, something he was set out to do since finding out Wayne did it- as a child.
Now- the most famed surgeon in arguably the world, Doctor Thomas Elliot has embraced the 'playboy' life-style that Bruce Wayne has- and is rumored to be heading back to Gotham City to be named Lead Surgeon at Gotham General- the same position Bruce's father held roughly 20-some odd years ago.
